Welcome to the research website of Dr Robert A. Davis. I am a wildlife ecologist based at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia and an adjunct lecturer in the School of Animal Biology at the University of Western Australia.

I undertake applied research on the ecology and conservation of vertebrate wildlife. The main objective of our lab is to investigate and provide solutions to the ongoing loss of biodiversity. We use field studies and modelling on a range of taxa to answer questions with clear applied outcomes. Lab projects range in scope from feral predator ecology to threatened bird ecology and are supported by the interests and expertise of my lab members.

Fieldwork occurs in Western Australia and overseas. The lab has ongoing collaborations with colleagues at other Australian and international universities, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, and engages with industry and natural resource management groups.
